While many languages go into creating Websites and applications, a few are regarded as \u201ccore\u201d to working in the online realm. If a candidate isn\u2019t knowledgeable about them, you may want to look elsewhere. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the number of Web developer jobs will only grow over the next seven years. It\u2019s already difficult for many firms to find and hire top talent, which means that those candidates with the right mix of skills and experience can demand quite a bit in salaries and perks. Finding entry-level talent is a little easier, given the number of people out there with Web-development skills\u2014but make sure that any candidate has these skills in place. <\/p>\n<h3>CSS<\/h3>\n<p> Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style-sheet language that ensures the integrity of Website design. Without knowledge of CSS, Web developers have a difficult time regulating a Web property\u2019s look and feel. <\/p>\n<h3>HTML<\/h3>\n<p> An old language, HTML is also very easy to learn; virtually every candidate will list this one on his or her resume, and with good reason. <\/p>\n<h3>PHP<\/h3>\n<p> PHP is a server-side scripting language that undergirds WordPress and other popular platforms.
